Generally, the application for the Hungarian scholarship opens at the end of each year.

Below I will mention the timeline of the Hungarian scholarship as stated on the official scholarship website:
-(January 15): End of application for the Hungarian scholarship: During this stage, the applicant must complete submitting the electronic application to the scholarship administration as well as complete submitting the application to the local partner of the scholarship (at the end of the article there is a link to know the local partner in each country).
-(The second half of January): Completion of reviewing the electronic applications by the Hungarian scholarship administration and then sending the names of the candidates to the local partner.
-(Until the end of February): The local partner sends the list of candidates (who have previously met the conditions of the local partner) to the Hungarian scholarship administration.
-(Mid-March): The nominated applications are submitted to the host universities to begin the process of examining the applications by the universities.
-(Mid-March to the end of May): The host universities select the applicants who have met the minimum required by the universities, and then the universities inform the applicants of the dates and procedures for interviews or exams (if required) or any other required conditions, after which the universities send the names of those accepted to the Hungarian scholarship administration.
– (June): The Hungarian Scholarship Administration makes the final decision regarding the acceptance of the applicant based on several factors such as: details of the bilateral agreement with the sending partner, the number of seats available within the universities, the order of preferences specified by the applicant in the application form, the results of the evaluation of the host universities (where the grade is out of 100 and the minimum passing score is 56), and the applicant’s ranking in the list of candidates by the local partner.
– (Starting from the end of June): Successful applicants for the Hungarian Scholarship are notified.
– (July to August 1): Successful applicants accept the Hungarian Scholarship through the electronic application system and upload any missing files. Applicants also complete the application procedures and obtain a visa to travel during this period.

Applications for the Hungarian scholarship are made through the electronic application system as well as by submitting the required documents to the local partner within the applicant’s country. The applicant must review the local partner in his country to review any conditions required for application and thus obtain the nomination of the local partner.

As for the conditions required through the electronic application system of the Hungarian scholarship, they are as follows:
-Completing the electronic application: The application is filled out in English and finally, click on (Submit).
-Motivation letter (scanned image): It must be at least one page and written in (Times new roman) font size (12) in the language of the program the applicant intends to apply to or in Hungarian.
-Proof of language (scanned image): This condition is mainly related to the program and university to which the student intends to apply, and here the applicant must review the conditions of each university regarding the application, as there is no specific certificate that can be submitted. Some universities may require a specific certificate and a specific grade (TOEFL or IELTS or other), and some universities do not require a specific certificate, so the student can submit any certificate that proves that he has obtained level (B2), and those who previously studied in English or Hungarian or the language of the program to which the student intends to apply are exempt from this condition, and here the applicant must provide proof of this.
-Certificate of completion of the last stage of study and transcript (scanned copies): with a translation in English or Hungarian attached.
-Proof of identity (ID card or passport) (scanned copy).
-Medical certificate: must be translated into English or Hungarian, has no specific format, must be issued no more than two months before the end of the application, can be issued by any hospital or specialist doctor where the doctor signs it, must prove that the applicant is free from immunodeficiency diseases and hepatitis A, B, C or any other epidemic diseases) (scanned copy). Host universities will also re-examine the medical examination of students accepted later.

It should be noted here that the applicant can postpone submitting the documents (language proof, certificate and transcript, proof of identity, medical certificate) until before (August 1 of the application year), and here the applicant must submit pledges instead within the electronic application system, where a pledge is written (for each required document separately) that he will upload the required document before August 1 in the event of his acceptance for the scholarship).

In addition to the above, there are additional documents required by some programs, such as the Arts and Music programs, where applicants are required to submit three artistic or musical works by uploading them to the application system (note that the maximum size allowed for a single file is 4 MB).

>Equivalent to (120) euros for undergraduate, master’s, master’s (One tier) and non-degree programs.

-Housing or housing allowance: The Hungarian scholarship provides free housing for students or a housing allowance equivalent to (110) euros per month.
