Biography:
Professor of Process and Industrial Engineering at the University of Michigan and president of the Liker Lean Advisors network, which trains, educates and consults on the Toyota Way. Partner of the Toyota Way Academy and the Lean Leadership Institute, Liker has visited operations centers in Japan, Europe and Indonesia where the commitment to developing people is astounding, then the Michigan Technical Center and satellite facilities in Georgetown. He has authored 11 books, as well as authored and co-authored 75 scientific articles and book chapters. In 2012, Liker was inducted into the Center of Excellence in Manufacturing, where he has become a consultant and keynote speaker. His clients include Catepillar, Applied Materials, Siemens, Dover Industries, Kraft-Oscar Meyer, Alcatel-Lucent, Hertz, Solar Turbine, Art Van Furniture, Henry Ford Health Systems, Android, US Airforce Material Command, and Fujitsu Technical Services.
