My Experience in Macromedia Flash

Macromedia Flash

Macromedia Flash is a multimedia platform created by Macromedia, which later became owned by Adobe Systems. This platform is used to create animations, as well as to add animated images and interactions to web pages, broadcast video such as YouTube, and advertisements. In 1996, Macromedia acquired the FutureSplash project, and then redesigned and distributed it under the name Macromedia Flash 1.0. Flash is a system consisting of two parts, the first part is the Flash graphics editing program (Macromedia Flash), and the second part is the Flash Player (Macromedia Flash Player). In 2000, the first major version of ActionScript was developed, and it was released using Flash 5, to be released later with additional developments with Flash MX 2004 and Flash 8. At the end of 2005, Adobe acquired Macromedia and all of its software: Flash, Dreamweaver, Shockwave, Fireworks and Authorware.

Adobe later released updates to Flash under different names until the end of 2020 when the company stopped supporting Flash Player due to security vulnerabilities. It also stopped the ability to download the program on its website and advised against downloading it from other sites. Support for it was stopped by almost all Internet browsers, most notably Google Chrome. As of February 2021, all major supported browsers have blocked Flash without being able to run it (with some exceptions). It is also no longer possible to run any Flash files on computers running Windows 10. Here, users and developers faced the risk of losing Flash projects permanently, and accordingly, some projects such as Flashpoint have emerged since the beginning of 2018, which aims to preserve as many Flash projects as possible, so that they are not lost over time. The project has provided more than 70,000 games and 8,000 animations running on 20 different platforms. (Sources: Wikipedia,

My experience with the different versions of the (Macromedia Flash) program began in the period from 2002 to 2012. In 2004, I designed my first website to publish it on the Internet. At that time, the website included several sections, including a section dedicated to topics related to aviation 🛩, and another section that included dozens of flashes that I designed using the (Macromedia Flash5) program. These flashes included some simple flash presentations that explain several topics such as: how a jet engine works, basic aircraft movements, the ejection system in a warplane, the most important types of warplanes, as well as two primitive flight games and many different presentations and explanations. The total number of flashes until 2012 reached more than (100) flashes, of which I only have a few left, so I will upload them and make them available through this blog through the following link:
