Intragenerational Relationships:
This type of relationship (between brothers / relatives / friends of the same generation) does not differ from the basic ideas that we mentioned earlier regarding balance and its states, as we indicated that people seek congruence between various elements when forming impressions concerning inter‐personal relations. For example, we speak of a balanced relationship when we like a person who is liked by a friend of ours or when we dislike our friend’s enemy. As an example, we will illustrate the experience of a mother with her children before and after having a new third child, as shown in the following figure:

Where the mother described the experience of the arrival of a third child to the family and her transition from caring for two children to caring for three children.
